Aiwen specializes in drawing and painting. After graduation, she continued to take workshops and study with many master artists and mentors. Aiwen loves to do plein air painting, where she finds the beauty in nature. Her art reflects everyday human life and celebrates the beauty of the natural world.

Her artwork has been selected in numerous juried art shows and has earned numerous awards, including the De Young Museum's Opening 2023 show, the Celebrating California show from the California Art Club, the Capitola Plein Air Competition, and the Iconic California show hosted by the Coastal Art League gallery, among others. Her artworks have been collected by many art collectors nationally.

Aiwen loves kids; she enjoys sharing the joy of art with children, helping and cultivating their creativity, building their self-confidence, and enriching their lives.

Over 15 Years of Teaching Experience

With over fifteen years of experience in art education, I’ve had the pleasure of working with students of all ages, especially young children. After graduating from the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, I spent three years as a university instructor, working with students in both advanced art programs and preparatory classes for art school entrance exams. I’m passionate about encouraging creativity in children and enjoy watching them grow through art. My main focus is on watercolor and oil painting, and I also have a strong background in sculpture. Art education is something I truly care about, and I’m dedicated to helping young artists discover their potential.

Hi, I’m Ms. Sixian. I hold an MFA in Illustration from FIT and have received multiple awards in the field of art.

I am passionate about children’s art education and believe that every child has their own unique way of expression. In my class, I focus on nurturing creativity and providing a safe and supportive space where children feel comfortable sharing their ideas.

Through interest-driven learning, I hope students can enjoy the process of making art while developing both artistic skills and real-world awareness.

Hello, I’m Ms. Audrey. I’ve worked in TK-5 art education since 2022.

I’ve had the pleasure of teaching art to students from around the Bay Area, focusing fundamental skills and encouraging students to explore their own ideas. My goal is to create an environment where students feel comfortable finding and expressing their creativity while advancing their fundamentals.

Outside of teaching, I’m a digital media and fiber arts artist, specializing in costume making and anime style digital illustration.

I enjoy helping bright young minds explore their passion and develop their creativity.

Hi, I’m Ms. April. I have several years of experience teaching children’s art in both China and the United States. My teaching focuses on color exploration, creativity, and understanding each child’s developmental needs. I design lessons tailored to different age groups, helping students build confidence, strengthen their artistic skills, and develop their own creative voice.

In my classroom, I believe there are no “wrong” drawings - every child should have the freedom to explore, imagine, and create. I look forward to helping young artists in the South Bay discover beauty, express themselves through art, and develop a lasting love for creativity.

Hi! I’m Ms. Lin, an art educator who is deeply passionate about both teaching and the arts. I have 3+ years of teaching experience working with students of different ages, along with 8+ years of dedicated art training and practice.

For me, art education is about much more than learning how to draw or paint. I believe art gives students a space to explore, express themselves, build confidence, and discover their own unique way of seeing the world. I love creating a classroom environment that feels encouraging, creative, and fun, while also helping students develop strong artistic skills and techniques.

As a teacher, one of the most rewarding things for me is seeing a student become proud of what they create. I hope to help every student feel comfortable experimenting, thinking independently, and finding their own artistic voice.

Hi, I’m Ms. Yaxi. I have been teaching art since 2018 and have experience working with students of different ages in China. I previously taught high school students preparing for admission to professional art academies, helping them build strong foundational skills. I also worked at a private elementary school, where I focused on nurturing creativity, encouraging self-expression, and helping children build confidence through art.

With a dual background in design and painting, I value both artistic skills and creative expression. I believe there are no mistakes in art—every unexpected mark can become the beginning of a new idea. My goal is to create a warm and supportive environment where every child feels confident expressing themselves, exploring their imagination, and discovering their own artistic voice.

My own journey with art began in elementary school, when my art teacher showed me that art isn’t just about technique or perfection—it’s a way to express how you feel. That lesson stayed with me, and it’s what I want to bring to my students today. In my classroom, I hope every child feels happy, encouraged, and free to explore their own ideas. I don’t just teach skills; I help children see art as a personal language—a tool they can use to share their stories, emotions, and imagination.

Whether we’re painting, drawing, or experimenting with mixed media, my goal is to create a warm, supportive space where each student enjoys the process and discovers that their voice matters. I look forward to growing and creating with every young artist who walks through my door!
